For high-capacity applications such as cloud, security and high performance
computing (HPC), expand Server storage with external JBOD enclosures without
sacrificing RAID data protection. The MegaRAID® SAS 9280-8e SATA and SAS RAID
controller is an affordable, highly reliable approach to adding large-capacity
LUNs (up to 64TB) to support data-hungry applications.
- Connect up to 240 SATA or SAS drives with eight external 6Gb/s SATA and
SAS ports
- Fit into workstations, compact and rack-mounted servers
- Bandwidth to support critical applications and Solid State Drive (SSD)
arrays with PCIe® 2.0 connectivity
- Balance protection and performance for critical applications with RAID
levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60
- Add more protection and peace of mind with options including
heat-tolerant battery backup modules
